UW’s Brockberg to take part in Educational Leadership Conference in Washington

August 19, 2015

UW-Madison’s Dustin Brockberg was asked earlier this summer by the American Psychological Association Graduate Students and APA to represent APAGS at the Educational Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C., Oct. 17 to 20.

Brockberg is a doctoral student with the School of Education’s Department of Counseling Psychology.

While in Washington, Brockberg will spend time at the U.S. Capitol meeting individually with Wisconsin senators and representatives to talk about mental health issues and needs.

The theme for the Educational Leadership Conference is, “Translating Psychological Science for Educational Practice, Policy, and the Public.”

The conference discussions will explore the value of psychological science and ways to increase understanding and implementation of psychological science in and beyond the classroom.
