UW-Madison alum Lucille, featured in Madison365, releasing 'Love Promises'

February 06, 2016

UW-Madison alumna Sherry Lucille was recently featured in an article by Madison365 headlined, " 'Love Released' Highlights Local African-American Women Writers."

Love PromisesLucille -- along with Fabu Phillis Carter and Catrina Sparkman -- will co-host the Love Released Launch Party on Saturday, Feb. 13 at Central Branch Library. At the event, Lucille will be releasing her novel, “Love Promises.”

“The ‘Love Released Book Launch Event’ came out of the three of us wanting to do something together around the theme of love,” Lucille tells Madison365. “We decided to have it held around Valentine’s Day and to focus on love and all of its expressions.”

Lucille earned a master's in counseling from the School of Education in 1988.

At the Feb. 13 event, Sparkman will be releasing a new novel titled, “Opening the Floodgates,” while Fabu will be releasing a new book of poetry called “Love Poems.”
