Dr. Hannah Glenn (she/her) is a Clinical Assistant Professor and Director of Training and Professional Development in the Department of Counseling Psychology at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She is a registered health service psychologist committed to expanding access to mental health care. Dr. Glenn’s work addresses this commitment through three interconnected areas: multicultural counseling and cultural humility, digital mental health, and the training and professional development of future clinicians.
Dr. Glenn’s scholarship explores how people understand and engage with mental health both within and outside of traditional counseling settings. Her dissertation examined how undergraduates learn about mental health on social media and compare mental health content to their experiences in counseling, highlighting how informal digital content and mental health treatment can shape overall mental health literacy and help-seeking. She is broadly interested in how these narratives inform culturally responsive practice and equitable access to care.
Training and professional development are central to Dr. Glenn’s work. She values creating and identifying meaningful opportunities for emerging clinicians to expand competencies, develop professional integrity, integrate new perspectives, and grow into confident practitioners. Dr. Glenn brings this commitment to the Counseling Psychology Training Clinic (CPTC) and the Department of Counseling Psychology by cultivating training opportunities and partnerships that emphasize responsiveness, cultural humility, and professional growth to prepare the next generation of counseling psychologists.
